THE SHOP DOCTOR'S IN TOWN!

Improve your retail marketing skills in a few hours – FREE!!

A chance to improve your marketing skills, help you compete more effectively and make a real difference to your bottom line. By attending this dynamic series of marketing surgeries you will be joining more retailers who are already benefiting from all the tips and techniques they have learned. The workshops cover different facets of retail marketing, including cost-effective advertising and promotions activity, customer service and how small businesses can also apply the customer psychology that retail giants use.

Each session lasts a couple of hours and you can join other delegates to swap ideas over a bite to eat. And it is all FREE!

The Shop Doctor motivates and inspires

The surgeries are organised and presented by Diane Jackson of Main Marketing & PR Ltd, founder of the successful “Retail Survival Courses” which have been running since 2001. The Shop Doctor has been helping businesses throughout Derbyshire in 2009 – and retailers have certainly found the surgeries full of practical help and ideas.

"Small things can make a big difference ... and they don't have to cost a lot of money."
This was the reaction from many delegates to the series of Retail Survival courses run throughout 2008/09.

What the retailers have to say:

“I’m so pleased I went. The course was very well presented, easy to follow and I’ve learned an awful lot. I’ve been in retail for over 20 years and I didn’t think I would learn too much, but I really did. I’m so glad to have made the effort after a long day’s work – you always wonder if it’ll be worth it, and it really was.”

Sheila Cunliffe, Shumart, Swadlincote

“The course was brilliant, full of practical help. It was informal, welcoming, friendly and absolutely perfect for a small business. For me as an experienced business person it brought a lot to mind that had been buried there and not acted upon. It made us think, it challenged and inspired us and gave us the confidence to do things.”

Sally Arden, Belper Gas Showrooms

“All the course materials are great, the text book we were given is very useful and I appreciated the opportunity to network with other delegates. I learned so many helpful and new techniques -and how to apply them. I’m a new business start up so I got lots of ideas on how to move my business forward.”

Julian Probets – starting up in business, Buxton

“I found the course very useful, especially the marketing and advertising sessions, which was my main reason for going. I’ve been in retail for 25 years or so, but it’s the first course of its kind that I’ve ever done. Since the course I’ve been changing something every week in the shop or the window – and it works! Customers notice. The Shop Doctor was a great help, thank you.”
